Better Late Than Never

It's finally here. My one and only CD, a labor of love that took a year and a half to write and record and a lifetime to prepare for. That's one of the reasons I'm calling it "Better Late Than Never."

I've had requests for the lyrics already, so I'll be posting them in this spot, one lyric at a time.

First up, "Bad Seed."

BAD SEED

When you threw me away
That fateful day
You said I would amount to nothing
Why weren't you there?
Did you even really care?
Oh what the hell, I couldn't tell
Because to you I was just a

Bad seed, bad seed
Why'd you put that name on me?
Bad seed, bad seed
Self-fulfilling prophecy

Yes, I struggled, and yes, I fought
Thought I wasn't good enough
Thought there was something wrong with me
Maybe I really was a bad seed
It's lies we sweep and words we keep
You couldn't see the blessing of the

Bad seed, bad seed
Why'd you put that name on me?
Bad seed, bad seed
Self-fulfilling prophecy

I heard you said they'd find me dead
What you believed inside your head
Word gets around
But I'm not dead down in that gutter
Down down way down in Chinatown

Bad seed, bad seed
(adlib to fade)
